If you think you might have an injury, don't refuse medical treatment--even
if you don't have medical insurance. (If an injury prevents you from doing
any of the following, ask someone to do it for you.)
Get the address or street intersection name.
Get information about the motorist and other particpants.
Get a police report number or badge numbers of reporting police officers.
Don't lose your bike! If you have to leave it, lock it.
At the hospital:
Get damaged clothing and parts in case you need them later for proof.
At home:
Write down everything you can remember.
Take photos of damaged bike equipment.
Learn the replacement costs of everything you've lost and the cost of your
medical treatment.
